Being able to explain some complicated development topic to another person helps you better understand the topic because you’ll want to make sure that you understand it well enough so that you don’t sound like a blabbering idiot. This method of learning benefits both the teacher and the student.

If you are able to answer these questions about a given topic, you are effectively able to articulate it to another person and, in turn, you have developed a solid fundamental understanding of the topic yourself.
